Chelsea defender playing for England

Trevoh Chalobah emulated his sibling Nathaniel in playing for England, emerging as the twenty-first pair of brothers to be selected for the England side.

Trevoh Chalobah is set to join up with the England squad to fill in for unavailable Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi.

The 26-year-old footballer is scheduled to meet up with the squad for England's last World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Serbia, although it has not yet been confirmed.

The England team have already secured qualification for the upcoming tournament.

Chalobah earned his initial call-up under England manager Thomas Tuchel in May and then earned his first cap against Senegal.

In the month of September, Tuchel said Chalobah was unfortunate to be excluded from the selection for qualifying games against Andorra and Serbia, and also didn't call him up for the following October matches.

Tuchel has been an significant influence in Chalobah's career, having awarded him his Chelsea first appearance in 2021.

Chalobah has played in all but four matches for Chelsea this season, with the side third in the English top flight, in the EFL Cup quarter-finals and in the group stage of the Champions League.

Guehi suffered a injury to his foot in Crystal Palace's Europa Conference League victory over AZ Alkmaar recently.

There are expected to be other call-ups to the squad. Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe has announced that both attacker Anthony Gordon (hip injury) and goalkeeper Nick Pope (a concussion) will be unavailable from the national team.
