Young golfer preparing for major tournament

The rising star has considerable social media following

Kai Trump will have multiple high-profile backers as she makes her professional golf debut on Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is connected to Donald Trump, obtained a tournament invitation to play at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.

The former president, an avid golfer, possesses numerous international courses and often competes against Kai.

"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we have some close matches," she stated.

The golfer shared that her grandfather, unable to come, advised her: "Just don't get nervous."

"He practically advised me to go out there and relax," she explained.

"In my eyes, he's simply a regular grandfather. He can't make it for the tournament. He's busy with world affairs, so he's rather occupied."

While still amateur, the golfer has competed in a mere three competitions this year and maintains ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.

However she's able to receive tips from 15-time major champion, in a relationship with Kai's mother.

"He is the top athlete worldwide," the young golfer said.

"And he's a more impressive human being. He told me to play, have fun, following whatever happens."

Kai will face some of the biggest names in professional golf at the competition, such as world number two the champion, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.

The LPGA stated that involving Kai exposes golf to different demographics, especially with youth audiences.

The social media influencer maintains substantial online presence and just introduced a personal fashion and living label.

She begins at late afternoon GMT.
