David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Best-selling young adult author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
A spokesman for the publisher commented: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was reached following an inquiry regarding reports of conduct deemed unsuitable involving young women.
The publisher did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."
An Illustrious Publishing History
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles in total, including a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
